Cthulhu Ftagn!
Really nice turn based game. Controls are a bit challenging but I found them reasonably intuitive. Nice touches like world war I backdrop, interesting weapons, items and armor and character development options. Also liked the sanity points concept and using psychoanalysis to restore them.
The lovecraftian world was well captured. There are eerie sounds as you battle increasingly weird horrors. The dialogue and mission intros make reference back to the Cthulhu mythos.
Fog of war could have been a nice addition, to add that "whats behind the door" surprise factor.
I picked up a FF tactics game for the iPad a while back looking for a nice turn based experience - I think that game cost about 15 bucks - and I can tell you that this game was much better than that.
Nice value for the price as well.
Itd be nice to see an addon or sequel that includes otherworldly landscapes with non Euclidean architecture but that will have to wait.
